Bogota’s mayor’s office has launched a program to teach English to young graduates, with BPO companies offering hundreds of jobs to bilingual candidates.
The “Yes, Bogotá” program aims to train up to 10,000 residents. A key part of the initiative is its direct link to employment. Fourteen companies took part in the launch and announced 600 job openings, most of them in the BPO sector, according to local media reports.
