Colombian security forces have launched a manhunt in the Caribbean city of Santa Marta after a drug-trafficking paramilitary gang forced businesses to close and set vehicles on fire in a 48-hour armed strike.
The government reinforced its military presence in the city after the Autodefensas Conquistadoras de la Sierra Nevada (ACSN) called the strike in retaliation for a security operation last week that killed seven of its members.
