For most IT services providers, the playbook (until now) has been straightforward: hire talent, bill more hours, and watch the revenue climb. But Globant is ripping up that formula.
In the hopes of resuscitating its battered share price, the Argentinian tech unicorn's latest strategy is to deliberately migrate workloads away from traditional hourly billing and triple down on its AI-native delivery platform, Glob.AI.
During Globant's Q2 FY2026 earnings call, Co-Founder and CEO Martín Migoya, described the platform as "AWS for services," explaining that it can run at gross margins close to 10 percentage points above traditional hours-based delivery.
With its shares floating around $40 today, down from $350 in 2021, could this bet pay off, or will the AI-dominant strategy crumble under investor pressure? Nearshore Americas investigates.
