Capgemini Exits U.S. Federal Unit Over ICE Contract BacklashThe French tech giant came under fire for helping U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement track foreign nationals via its $4.8 million contract.
French IT giant Capgemini is exiting its U.S. federal business after running into political and reputational barriers linked to the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.
Capgemini said it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) to Fairfax-based ITC Federal, a U.S. IT provider to homeland security, law enforcement and defense agencies. The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks.
